System F - Out Of The Blue
Steps by JPH

Hello everyone, and welcome to my judged selection for 90's mix, Out Of The Blue, by System F.

In the early to mid 90's, pop, and "cheesy' dance music was really popular, along with rap/hip hop. All these genres still hold up their popularity. Meanwhile, in the late 90's, the dance genre was being redifined, and many sub-genres starting making waves. Trance music was a BIG international explosion in this time. System F's "Out Of The Blue" was one of, if not THE biggest examples of this.

Ferry Corsten, as he is known by name, benefited greatly from this song, which really shot him into the trance spotlight. From "Out Of The Blue" onward, System F churned out hit after hit. Teaming up with fellow trance pioneer Armin Van Buuren, to Marc Almond, who was the frontman of Softcell. (Tainted Love) Ferry also went on to remix tracks by U2, Moby, Duran Duran, and many many more. Be sure to check him out, one of the greatest artists in the dance/trance genre. Also one of my fav. Artists:P

Onto the steps.
Maniac Steps: I wanted to really follow the synths found in the solo-type section onward. I also didn't want to make the maniac too hard, so I sort of kept the steps a little cooled-down, but still retaining somewhat of the difficulty. The freezes during the middle section of the song are favourites of mine, as I feel thet compliment the song really well.

Challenge: This is the way that I saw the song coming together right away, with some tricky sections, and lots of stream. I wanted the steps to really reflect the energy found in the track itself. The synth section is played out just as i wanted it to be, and the song in general is a blast to play.

Enjoy:D
